LITERACY WORSHOP for Families

Ever wonder how literacy is introduced in the school world of your child? 







Well, wonder no longer. Please join us next week in the Faulkner Reading Room for our Literacy Workshop. This is a very informative workshop that will shine some light on the many ways literacy is integrated in our classroom. And, as your child moves forward to kindergarten and beyond here at AFS, learn how their literacy experience is designed and coordinated with developmentally based instruction and materials.  

LITERACY WORSHOP
for Families of 3 - and 4 - year olds and kindergarten

Learn how you can help your child continue to develop literacy skills
and how we use them throughout our Lower School classrooms.

Presented by Ann Botel-Barnard, AFS Language Arts Specialist,
and Kindergarten Teachers Kathy Lopez and Raji Malik

Workshop will be followed by a Q&A session

In Lower School, reading, writing and the communication of ideas permeates all aspects of a student’s life.

In this workshop, you will learn how home and school partner around literacy in developmentally appropriate ways in the foundational years of Lower School.
