Our first
Library experience was quite entertaining! Michelle, who is the technology and
library teacher, read us a very, very funny and engaging story. The book, written
by Rebecca & Ed Emberley, was titled “If You’re a Monster and You Know It
....” How hilarious! This story is a twist on “If You’re Happy and You Know It”
but instead of clapping our hands or stomping our feet, this tale invited us to clap and stomp or paws, twitch our tails, snort and growl,
and wiggle along. What great fun! Thanks Michelle!
After the
story, Michelle gave us the opportunity to read some books on our own or share one
with a friend. When done, we got the chance to check the books out so that we
can bring them to our classrooms. What a grown-up feeling! Borrowing things
from our school library provides a great teaching lesson in instilling
responsibility in us. Thank, Michelle!
