The Cardinal's started their morning off by making amazing sculptures made out of rocks, magnatiles and blocks.
Friends have also become experts at writing their first names, so we have decided to challenge friends to write both their first and last names when signing in.
Next, Friends gathered on the Morning Meeting rug to help Danielle read the book The Little Red Hen (makes a pizza). Friends did a fantastic job at helping Danielle read the story.
The Cardinal's, along with the other EC classes, met in the Music Room to practice a song that we will be performing at tomorrow's Assembly and the Winterfest Show.
After our rehearsal, we headed to Art Class with Amanda where she taught us how to stitch using a sowing needle, yarn and fabric. This was a great activity to help friends practice their fine motor skills!
After Art, we headed back to our classroom for Morning Meeting, V.I.P. and Choice Time.
Friends got extra messy, practicing letter writing using shaving cream and their fingers!
Friends also helped make a big bowl of gooey flubber, mixed with a math lesson!
First, friends made a chart, so friends could vote on which color they would like the flubber to be. After the votes were in and tallied, the final decision was pink!
Next, friends helped measure, pour and mix the ingredients for the flubber. Once everything was combined, the "magic happened" and it turned into an "Ooey Gooey" mixture! Friends are very excited to play and squish the flubber in their hands tomorrow.
Friends then headed outside to enjoy the beautiful warm weather!
We finished up our morning with a beautiful bird presentation on the Cardinal. Friends have become experts at asking questions and making comments based on what they learned!
